WELCOME TO WELDON
Weldon Welcome Days are three days of events that allow prospective students to experience life at the Schulich School of Law. Welcome Days are named after our beloved law school building, located at 6061 University Ave. at the edge of Dalhousie's Studley Campus. During the event, you will meet some of Schulich Law's award-winning faculty members, tour the law school and Dalhousie campus, and hang out with current students who will answer your questions about what it's like to attend law school here.

QUESTIONS?
We've got you covered.
What is Weldon? I thought I applied to the Schulich School of Law!
Our law school was founded in 1883 by Richard Chapman Weldon, who was our first Dean of Law. It was his mission to build a law school dedicated to unselfish public service so graduates would use the law to influence society for the better. As a constant reminder of that ideal, the building that houses the law school was named in his honour.
Do I have to attend every event?
No! The schedule will indicate which events are optional and recorded. If attending in person, we encourage you to attend every session but do not track attendance.
Do I need to turn my camera on?
For most events, your camera will be turned off. However, you are encouraged to turn on your camera for the small group case study to improve interaction!
How do I ask questions during the session?
Each session will have a chat function, and some sessions will indicate how to ask questions.
How can I contact other people who have been accepted?
We encourage you to get in touch through the Weldon Welcome Facebook page, ask questions, and start discussions!
How do I learn more about the Schulich School of Law?
Visit our digital viewbook!
I have more questions!
Ask the question on the Weldon Welcome Facebook page or email us at Weldon.Welcome@dal.ca. Chances are someone has the same question!
Travelling?
We can help.
We at the Schulich School of Law pride ourselves on being a national school. This means we have students from all over the country studying here! We know many of you are from provinces outside of Nova Scotia and travel can be expensive, so we encourage you to apply for our travel subsidy. You will receive more information on how to apply for a travel subsidy in your email. Below is an estimate of how much money you are eligible to be reimbursed for:
